Volleyball loses in sets

Greencastle-Antrim 3, Chambersburg 2: For the second time this week, the Trojans went to a fifth set and were edged 16-14; on Thursday evening it was at Greencastle against the Blue Devils in a non-league match.

Chambersburg (1-2) won the first game 26-24 and the third 27-25, while G-A came out on top in the second (25-22) and fourth (25-15).

"It was a good match between two solid teams," Trojan coach Ty Frelin said. "Greencastle served very tough and kept us out of system throughout the match. We did some nice things and never gave up. That shows the heart this team has."

Addi Kegerreis led in three categories for Chambersburg — service points (18, with 4 aces), kills (13) and digs (25). Marah Lehman contributed 20 digs and 8 kills.

Also for Chambersburg, Cami Bender had 11 points with 5 aces, Alayna Jones had 15 assists, 6 kills and 3 blocks, Nizaya Hawkins had 2 blocks, Ava Zeigler assisted on 14 points and Karley Skultety had 25 digs.
