BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Chambersburg claims title: The Trojans put four runners in the top 24 places and claimed the team title at the PennTrackXC Invitational at Kutztown University on Saturday.

Chambersburg scored 66 points to bypass runners-up Exeter Township and Mendham, N.J. , each of which scored 114.

"It was a nice meet to cap off a nice week," Trojan coach John Ambrosio said. "Not everybody had a great day, but everybody had a solid day."

Chambersburg's Ari Snyder covered the 5,000-meter course in a time of 16:14.4 to hold off Lewisburg's Jonathan Hess by just under a second for first place.

The next four Trojan runners were Aiden Alleman in eighth (17:02.4), Liam Kirkpatrick in 13th (17.10.1), Owen Shrader in 20th (17:14.9) and Kaden Rife in 24th (17:33.2).

Ambrosio said, "Exeter was ranked ninth in the state at the start of the season and Council Rock South (4th place) was 11th, and we outscored them by a lot. I don't think we'll be under the radar any more."
