Trojans win Bloser invite: Chambersburg put five runners in the top 35 and captured the team title in the Ben Bloser Invitational at Big Spring H.S. on Saturday.

"This was one of our best team efforts of the past few years," Trojan coach Chris Monheim said. "Our 1-5 gap was very low and despite a huge meet with many teams, we were able to keep the point total low because of the small time gaps."

Chambersburg totaled 94 points to win by 40 points over Hershey (134).

Madelyn Koons was the first Trojan across the line, in 13th place, with a time of 19:53.1. Lexi Boyd was next in 16th place (20:20.2).

After that came Samantha Faust (20th, 20:34.3), Dana Rosenberry (29th, 20:58.6), Natalie Quinn (35th, 21:10.5) and Brook Boone (37th, 21:17.8).

Monheim said, "I was so impressed with the entire group that it would be hard to single anyone out. If we race like this in a month from now at districts, we should be in the hunt with anyone."
