Chambersburg edged by 1 point: By the slimmest of margins, the Trojans placed second at the Ben Bloser Invitational on Saturday at Big Spring H.S.

Chambersburg totaled 92 points and Hershey took the win with 91 points.

It was much the same in the race, with Hershey's Vinay Raman winning in 15:47.3, and Chambersburg's Ari Snyder coming in a close second in 15:51.8.

"I was really pleased — overall we had a really good day," Trojan coach John Ambrosio said. "Our No 2 man, Aiden Alleman, was really sick and finished way back, so if he had run his usual race, we'd have won pretty easily."

The other four Trojan counters included Liam Kirkpatrick in 10th (16:24.6), Owen Shrader in 22nd (16:45.1), Kaden Rife in 28th (16:53.0) and Julian Clark in 30th (16:54.8).

Ambrosio said, "Hershey is ranked No. 2 and we're No. 3 in the district, so this was a good result. Ari ran really well and we had five guys under 17 minutes."
