FIELD HOCKEY
Mifflin County 2, Chambersburg 1, OT: The Huskies scored on a breakaway in the overtime period to sneak past the Trojans, 2-1, in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Tuesday afternoon in Lewistown.
"I'm very proud of how our girls played," Chambersburg coach Kelsey Baker said. "We have had a very front-loaded season. We had a week off since our last game and that gave us a chance to really get in the practice where we needed it."
The Trojans (0-8, 0-5 MPC)) scored just 5 minutes into the game on a goal by Reagan Barrett, her first career goal. Jaxin Frazer was credited with the assist.
Mifflin County trailed until tying the game with 3 minutes left, then ended it in overtime.
Baker said, "Jaxin Frazer and Morgan Smith played a great game in the midfield. They adapted very well to playing on grass and setting the energy for the team. Reagan Barrett is a freshman and has really started to develop as an attacker. She is great at moving the ball up the field and being ready in the circle.
