Trojans take first place: Chambersburg edged Mechanicsburg by a single stroke on Tuesday to win a tournament at Mayapple G.C. in Carlisle.

The Trojans' top 3 players combined to score 262, while Mechanicsburg posted 263.

Emily Rensch placed third with an 81, and she was the top Mid Penn Conference player, behind two girls from Manheim Township. Rensch shot nines of 41-40 and carded birdies on No. 4 and No. 17, both par 3 holes.

Emma Tolbert was three spots back in sixth place, shooting an 87, which included nines of 42-45. Chloe Fogelsonger jumped up into the No. 3 Chambersburg spot by posting a score of 94. She scored 47 on both the front and back nines and birdied No. 14.

The other player for the Trojans (15-1) was Alaina Morris, who was 19th with her 99.
