GIRLS SOCCER
Chambersburg 4, State College 0: The Trojans scored the first goal about 10 minutes before halftime, then turned it on in the second half to trounce the Little Lions in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game in State College on Wednesday.
"I don't know if it was the long ride or not, but we came out a little lackadaisical early," Chambersburg coach Ed Franchi said. "But the girls definitely turned it around in the second half. The energy and effort rate showed up in the second half."
Carly Cook scored the first-half goal for the Trojans (4-3-1, 1-3-1 MPC). The second-half goals came from Lily Cornwell, Malia Cramer and Bree Paetow.
Assists were credited to Summer Jones, Cornwell, Cramer and Addy Arnsparger.
Franchi said, "It's nice to see different players scoring."
