Boys soccer wins 5th game of last 6

Chambersburg 3, Carlisle 1: The Trojans got off to a quick start on the road against the Thundering Herd in Monday night's Mid Penn Commonwealth game, with Cristian Lopez poking in two goals in the game's first 10 minutes.

Mario Wiesman also scored in the first half, while assists went to Luca Gaisbauer and Michael Cespedes for Chambersburg (6-3, 3-2 MPC).

"I thought our front 4-5 guys were excellent in creating chances and being dynamic," Trojan coach Corey Grove said. "Cristian got us off to a flying start. We kind of took our foot off the gas with a few minutes left in the first half, but turned in a solid second-half performance to see the game out."

The Trojans out-shot the Herd 12-3, although Carlisle had more corners, 6-3. Drew Cover made 2 saves for
