Carlisle 2, Chambersburg 1, 2 OT: The Thundering Herd punched in a goal with 4 minutes left in the second overtime period to topple the Trojans in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game at Trojan Stadium on Monday night.

Carlisle scored in the first half and held off Chambersburg (5-4-1, 1-4-1 MPC) until Lily Nichter finished off a series of one-touch passes for a goal that tied the game.

"I feel real bad for the players after this game," Trojan coach Ed Franchi said. "They fought so hard and played so well, but the outcome didn't go our way. We out-shot them 14-7 and I thought we had the better run of the play.

"I had to make some adjustments because I have several players who are sick, but every player stepped up nicely."
