Cumberland Valley 3, Chambersburg 2: In a back-and-forth affair at Trojan Stadium on Saturday, the Eagles picked up a Mid Penn Commonwealth victory over the Trojans on a goal off a corner kick with 10 minutes left.

"We lost another heartbreaker," Chambersburg coach Ed Franchi said. "We just seem to be on the wrong end of these close games. We need to keep positive and working hard and they will start to turn our way. I am proud of our effort today."

Lily Nichter scored in the fourth minute to give the Trojans (5-5-1, 1-5-1MPC) an early lead. It stayed that way until there were 26 minutes left when CV tied the game. The Eagles took a 2-1 lead, but with about 16 minutes left, Bree Paetow knocked in the equalizer, on an assist from Nichter.
