BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Trojans claim team victory: Chambersburg put four runners in the top 10 and rolled to the team championship Saturday at the Gettysburg Invitational.
The Trojans' 43 points easily surpassed second-place Lower Dauphin (94).
"It was a fine day and we showed great bounce back after a rough week last week when five of our seven guys were sick," Trojan coach John Ambrosio said.
Ari Snyder was the lead dog, taking first place with a time of 15:56.1 on the 5K course.
Ambrosio said, "Ari ran real well, and there was only a time gap of 1:01 between him and our fifth guy. If we keep that gap we can be competitive with any team in District 3 and most in the state."
Owen Shrader finished sixth in 16:24.8, followed by Liam Kirkpatrick in eighth (16:31.8), Aiden Alleman in ninth (16:37.2) and Kaden Rife in 20th (17:07.4. Brian Morales also placed 39th in 17:32.6.
