CV downs Lady Trojans 3-1 on the court

Cumberland Valley 3, Chambersburg 1: The Trojans fell behind the Eagles, 25-21 and 26-24, won the third game 25-22, but fell 25-19 in game 4 and had to settle for a Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat on Monday in New Kingstown.

"It was a great match tonight between two good teams," Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said. "We got behind in a few of the sets and had to fight from behind quite a bit. We played hard, but we just couldn't get over the top."

Addi Kegerreis tied for the team lead in service points with 11, led in digs with 26 and added 15 kills.

For the Trojans (5-9, 3-5 MPC), Marah Lehman led in kills with 16 and had 20 digs, and Paige Davis led in assists with 38 and had 19 digs. Alayna Jones had 6 blocks and 9 points. In addition, Nizaya Hawkins had 3 blocks, Morgan Shaner had 11 points and Karley Skuletey had 25 digs.
