GIRLS SWIMMING
Cumberland Valley 133, Chambersburg 53: The strong Eagles squad took first place in all but two events to pick up a Mid Penn Commonwealth win over the Trojans on Wednesday at Mercersburg Academy.

Both of Chambersburg's two wins came from Margot Ritchie. She captured the 200 IM in a winning time of 2:13.38, and then earned first place in the 500 freestyle in 5:25.56.

"The girls showed a lot of heart today," Trojan coach Hali Cormany said. "CV is a great team. We had some season bests and even a few personal bests. Addie Zimmerman dove well in the first (diving) dual meet of the year."

Zimmerman placed second in diving. Other second-place finishes for Chambersburg (3-2, 3-2 MPC) included Hailey Fegan in the breaststroke, the 200 medley relay team of Ritchie, Fegan, Abby Caltrider and McKenzie Wicks, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Fegan, Caltrider, Lilly Evans and Ritchie.
