GIRLS BASKETBALL
Chambersburg 44, Harrisburg 41: The Trojans and Cougars put on a free throw shooting clinic Wednesday night in a Mid Penn Commonwealth tilt in Harrisburg, and Chambersburg came out on top.

The Trojans sank 22 of 24 shots at the foul line, while the Cougars made 11 of 12.

"Free throws were the difference," Chambersburg coach Jamiur King said. "We were down seven at the half, so this is probably our first comeback victory. We needed this win. Harrisburg is playing really good basketball right now and are pushing teams to their limits."

A 12-5 advantage after one quarter gave the Cougars the lead, and they still led by 6 entering the final period. That's when the Trojans outscored them, 15-6. The scoring was spread out between Emily Forrester (6), Riley Evans (4), Bree Paetow (3) and Ella Parker (2).

Forrester led Chambersburg (5-10, 3-5 MPC) with 22 points — a career high for the freshman. Parker had 7 points (all from the line) and Evans added 6.

King said, "Emily Forrester had her breakout game, and Selena Warren took a huge change late in the fourth quarter."
