Chambersburg 123, Trinity 39; Chambersburg 127, Halifax 32: The Trojans raised their record to 7-3 by crushing Trinity and Halifax in a non-league double-dual meet Thursday evening in Shiremanstown.

"We had a really strong night," Chambersburg coach Hali Cormany said. "Our depth has been pulling us through all year long and tonight was no different. We're in good shape leading up to the Mid Penns."

Abby Caltrider and Margot Ritchie each won a pair of events for the Trojans. Caltrider took the 100 butterfly in 1:08.52 and the 200 IM in 2:32.84, while Ritchie was victorious in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.88 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.06.

Also taking wins were Hailey Fegan in the 50 free (27.21), Ava Grove in the 100 free (1:01.40) and McKenzie Wicks in the 100 backstroke (1:07.84).

Cormany said, "Abby swam her best 100 fly all year. Our backstrokers have been strong all year and we swept that event today, as well as the 100 free."

Chambersburg captured all three relay events, too. The 200 medley team of Wicks, Lauren Markle, Lilly Evans and Fegan won in 2:03.50; the 200 free team of Ritchie, Caltrider, Wicks and Fegan finished in 1:50.39; and the 400 free team of Caltrider, Evans, Kayla Wolfe and Ritchie won in 4:09.00.

Wolfe and Evans went 2-3 in the backstroke and Wolfe and Zoe Dereef were 2-3 in the 100 free. Evans also took second in the 500 free.

BOYS SWIMMING
Chambersburg 112, Trinity 56; Chambersburg 132, Halifax 14: The unbeaten Trojans kept it rolling Thursday evening in a non-league away double-dual meet at Trinity, defeating the host Shamrocks and the Wildcats.

Chambersburg (10-0) placed first in every event but one.

"The boys continue to swim fast when they are tired from tough practices," Chambersburg coach Chad White said. "It's a great test to see how mentally tough you can be when you have to race tired."

Derek Estep posted some good times, winning the 200 freestyle in 1:41.25 and the 100 free in 46.62.

White said, "Derek swam some incredibly great races tonight that will help him with his District 3 entry times."

Amir Tasker won the other two freestyle races, the 50 in 22.34 and the 500 in 5:03.84, and Cristian Pong picked up wins in the 100 fly (54.51) and 100 backstroke (1:02.75). Alex Kaczmark was a winner in the 200 IM in 2:02.28, while Ethan White finished second in the 100 breaststroke.

The 200 medley relay team won its event in 1:40.81 and included Pong, White, Kaczmark and Tasker; the 200 free relay team was first in 1:35.90 and consisted of Estep, Kaczmark, Xavier Covington and Eugene Covington; and the 400 free relay team hit the wall in 3:27.54, with Estep, Tasker, Pong and White on the team.

Coach White said, "GJ (Eugene) Covington and Griffin Adamek improved their Mid Penn entry times, too."
