Hailey Fegan

"Tonight was bittersweet, with it being Senior Night, but the girls made the best of it," Chambersburg coach Hali Cormany said. "We had girls swim individual events and relays they don't always get to swim, which made the meet exciting. We're going with some confidence into the Mid Penns this weekend."

Ava Grove was the only swimmer from Chambersburg, which finished with an 8-3 record, to gain two wins — she was first in the 200 IM in 2:48.7 and the 100 butterfly in 1:20.57.

Other individual winners for the Trojans included Hailey Fegan (100 freestyle, 1:07.35), Madelyn Shifler (50 free, 30.63), Caitlyn Rankin (400 free, 6:19.99), Kayla Wolfe (100 backstroke, 1:18.19) and Lauren Markle (100 breaststroke, 1:31.90).

The relay teams all hit the wall first, including the 200 medley in 2:25.17 (Wolfe, Markle, Lilly Evans, Emma Skultety), the 200 freestyle in 2:07.39 (Fegan, Sarah Vessah, Lisa Bisconti, McKenzie Wicks) and the 400 free in 5:03..26 (Grove, Emma Boal, Skultety, Abby Caltrider).

Chambersburg, which will compete in the Mid Penn Conference championships this weekend at Cumberland Valley, had two double winners (Amir Tasker, Derek Estep), had four other winners, and swept all three relays.

"It was a lot of fun celebrating our seniors tonight," Trojan coach Chad White said. They got to end their high school dual meet career on a really high note.

"We are looking forward to taking a big squad to Mid Penns this Friday and Saturday."

Estep picked up first in the 50 freestyle (25.38) and 100 butterfly (1:02.06), while Tasker finished first in the 200 free (2:00.64) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.40).
