Chambersburg 16, Mifflin County 1: The Trojans got their season off to a great start by clobbering the Huskies in a non-league contest at Trojan Stadium on a chilly Monday night.
"We had a wonderful season opener," Chambersburg coach Keara Allshouse said.
Gabriella Sabatino led the Trojan offense, putting up 7 goals and adding 3 assists. Reagan Barrett wasn't far behind with 4 goals and 3 assists.
Also scoring goals were Mara Costolo (2), McKenna Myers, Taylor Mickey and Ellie Sarvis. Notching assists were Taylor Mickey (2), Mollie Yardley-Gontz (2), Myers and Costolo.
Starting goalie Megan Mickey collected 8 saves, while Brianna Keefer-Fanny and Leah Hubler each made one stop.
