Hempfield 12, Chambersburg 2: The Black Knights took control of the game by scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the third inning and defeated the Trojans in a non-league game Saturday afternoon in Landisville.

Chambersburg starter Ryan Schellhase gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the first, but teammate Evan Brown made it 3-1 by clubbing his team's first home run of the season — a shot to left field — to lead off the second inning.

In the fourth for the Trojans (2-2), Caegan Truett led off with a single to right and Tyler Brechbiel walked. After two outs, Kadyn McMullen doubled to left field to bring in Truett.

Leading 10-2, Hempfield (4-1) scored 2 runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game. Camden Hulock ripped a home run for the Black Knights.

Chambersburg ended up with 4 hits, with Joey Diaz hitting a double.
