CV shuts out Trojans

Cumberland Valley 6, Chambersburg 0: The Eagles threw a shutout against the Trojans for the second game this year, winning the Mid Penn Commonwealth game at CV Thursday night.

Ryan Remetta pitched 6.2 innings for CV (6-3, 4-2 MPC), giving up only 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 11 batters.

Brady Deneen was 2-for-3 for Chambersburg (3-5, 1-4 MPC), and Aaron Vasquez and Wyatt Martin had the other hits.

Tyler Brechbiel started for the Trojans and was touched for 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning.
