Cedar Cliff 4, Chambersburg 1: The Trojans went 1-1 in a pair of marathon matches, and came out on the wrong end of a non-league contest in Highland Park on Thursday afternoon.
Nathan Heimbach continued his recent surge at No. 2 singles for Chambersburg (2-9). Facing Leland Pierce, Heimbach lost the first set, 6-4, but rallied to take the next two, 6-4 and 7-6.
At No. 3 singles, the Trojans' Jack Fiegl and the Colts' Nathan Rivers were about as evenly-matched as possible. Rivera won 7-5, then Fiegl won 6-4. In the third set, Rivera pulled out a 15-13 tiebreaker.
The No. 1 doubles team of Lance Jacobs and Dhruv Patel put up a fight before falling 6-3, 6-3.
