BOYS SWIMMING
Cumberland Valley 102, Chambersburg 65: The Trojans took first place in seven of the 11 events, but Cumberland Valley's superior depth enabled the Eagles to earn a Mid Penn Commonwealth meet Thursday at the Chambersburg YMCA.
Chambersburg coach Chad White said, "The boys raced hard with great attitudes and effort all around. We came out aggressive and didn't let up until the meet was over. I'm very proud of their efforts tonight. "
For the Trojans (1-1, 1-1 MPC), Brandon Estep took victories in the 200 IM (2:20.01) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.23), Derek Estep was victorious in the 50 free (25.37) and the 400 freestyle (4:20.52), and Jacob Shifler placed first in the 100 free (58.89).
Chambersburg also captured wins in two relays — the 200 medley and 400 free. In both cases, the teams consisted of the two Esteps, Shifler and Joseph Decker. The medley time was 1:53.47, and the free time was 3:52.13.
White said, "Our medley relay dropped over a second from our time this past Tuesday. We now have the fifth-fastest time in the state, according to paswimming.com. It's starting to look like a good possibility that this relay has a shot at qualifying for states during championship season."
GIRLS SWIMMING
Cumberland Valley 122, Chambersburg 48: The Eagles swam to victories in each event to defeat the Trojans in a Mid Penn Commonwealth meet Thursday at the Chambersburg YMCA.

My goal tonight was for the girls to be competitive and they swam hard against a tough and big CV squad. I'm really proud of our freshmen who really stepped up tonight. Kayla Wolfe and Lilly Evans are really making an impact within the team."
