Palmyra 3, Chambersburg 2: The Trojans were able to capture wins at No. 1 and 2 singles, but the Cougars won competitive matches at the other three positions and pulled out a non-league win in Palmyra on Wednesday afternoon.
At No. 1, Sarah Vessah had a fight with the Cougars' Elaina Potter, but won sets of 6-4 and 7-6 to take a win. At No. 2, Charlie Kalathas battled Palmyra's Ava Cuzzolina and won 6-3, 6-2.
The No. 1 doubles team of Ashlee Barrett and Reese Miller dropped their close match, 7-5, 6-3, while in another tight match, No. 2 Shelby Newman and Leah Wadel were defeated 6-2, 7-5.
At No. 3 singles, Marley Christopher took a 6-2, 6-2 loss for Chambersburg (5-6).
