Cedar Cliff 8, Chambersburg 4: The Trojans put up 3 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 4-3 lead over the Colts in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game at Greene Township Park on Monday afternoon, but Cedar Cliff scored in each of the final 3 innings for a win.
Chambersburg (4-10, 2-8 MPC) scored a run in the first when Aaron Vasquez walked, moved up on an error and scored on a two-out single to right by Ceagan Truett.
Trailing 3-1 entering the bottom of the fourth, the Trojans got singles by Wyatt Martin and Tyler Brechbiel to lead off the inning. After an out, Brady Deneen walked to load the bases. Vasquez drew a walk to force in a run, then Evan Brown belted a double to bring in two more scores.
Truett and Brechbiel each stroked 2 hits for Chambersburg and Jake Folmar hit a double.
Starter Ryan Schellhase pitched 3 innings and gave up 3 runs, Logan Draper took the loss with 2 innings in which he gave up 4 runs, and Colton Wadel allowed one run in his 2 innings of work.
