Paetow was 4-for-5, scored 2 runs and drove in 4, and she had a double and home run among her hits.

"Sam had a really good day at the plate — even her out was loud," Chambersburg coach Chris Skultety said.

The Trojans (12-3, 7-3 MPC) scored one run in the top of first inning, 4 in the second, 2 in the fourth and 6 in the seventh. The game was played at Norlo because Cedar Cliff's field was not playable, so Chambersburg was the visitor.

Skultety said, "The girls came out a little sluggish, which was a surprise because we had off over the weekend and we didn't even know if we'd get to play today. We played outstanding defense, but need to find more consistency at the plate, especially with runners in scoring position."

Also for Chambersburg, Bree Paetow was 3-for-5 with an RBI and 2 steals; Karley Skultety was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in and a double; Addison Gsell doubled twice in 3 at-bats (1 RBI); Malia Cramer was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI; and Brooke Leedy had a run knocked in.

Kori Leedy went the first 3 innings for the win — she did not allow a hit or walk. Saleen Null pitched 2 innings and gave up 2 hits, and Sanay Jones finished with 2 hitless innings.
