Cumberland Valley 7, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans began their season against one of the Mid Penn Commonwealth favorites and were defeated by the Eagles in a road game Monday night.

"Although the score line doesn't reflect it, our girls were well organized behind the ball, particularly in the first 20 minutes of each half," Chambersburg coach Paul Unruh said. "Once we allowed a goal at those points, in inexperience showed in our collective reaction."

Chambersburg trailed 3-0 by halftime.

Unruh said, "We had decent spells of possession, especially in the first half, but ultimately struggled to get numbers forward. All in all, we have some lessons to take away and build upon."
