Mechanicsburg 1, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans couldn't finish on several quality opportunities and were shut out by the Wildcats in a Mid Penn Commonwealth clash on the road Wednesday night.
"Another tough game, but I thought we definitely took a step in the right direction tonight," Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said. "I honestly thought we were a bit unlucky not to get something out of tonight. We had several great chances, but couldn't find the back of the net.
"It will come; we just need to be patient."
The Trojans (0-2, 0-2 MPC) out-shot Mechanicsburg, 10-7 and had one more corner kick (4-3). Chambersburg goalkeepers Tyson Shanholtz made 3 saves.
