Chambersburg roundup: Boys lax hands Huskies 15-4 defeat

Chambersburg 15, Mifflin County 4: A dominant first half by the Trojans led to a comfortable Mid Penn Commonwealth victory over the Huskies on Thursday evening at Trojan Stadium.

"We scored eight goals in the second quarter, and that might have been the best quarter of lacrosse that we've played this season," Chambersburg coach Joey Wilmot said.

The Trojans (6-8, 5-7 MPC) got 5 goals and an assist from Ryan Cosey. With those goals, Cosey set a program record for goals in a season. The old record was 55 and Cosey now has 59 goals.

Blake Dupont also scored 5 goals, and Matt Tucker had one goal, and assisted on 5 other goals. Quinn Makosy scored twice, had one assist and picked up 6 groundballs. Blake Hitchens and Tavian Ferguson each found the net once. Austin Kireta contributed two assists and goalie Kellen Sanders earned 6 saves.
